In 1922, Anthony Lauring
started out in the building trade as a stone mason. Several
years later, he started his own masonry company which would
become the cornerstone of Lauring Construction
Company.
In the 1940s, his son Raymond joined him in the
business and together they started building houses as General
Contractors. In 1948, Lauring Construction Company was formed
with Raymond Lauring as President. In those postwar years the
company concentrated its effort on the booming housing market
and built exclusive custom built executive homes throughout
Worcester County.
In 1955,
the company diversified into commercial and industrial
buildings, maintaining the same high quality of construction
as in its custom built executive homes. Today, Lauring
Construction builds all types of commercial, industrial,
institutional, and multi-family residential buildings as well
as renovations and rehabilitations. Over the years, Lauring
built has come to mean quality built. Whether our role is
